Ott
Career.
Ott has emerged as one of world rallying’s superstar talents. He made his WRC debut at Wales Rally GB in 2011, before moving into a full season campaign the following year. He was quick to show his potential, scoring a debut podium in the penultimate round of the year in Sardinia.
Following a few years out of the WRC category, he returned in 2015. 2017 was his breakthrough season in the sport, as he claimed a debut victory in Sardinia, and followed that up with a win in Germany. Moving teams in 2018, Ott was a man transformed and established himself as one of the leading contenders in WRC. He was crowned WRC Drivers’ Champion in 2019 with five victories.
His first season at Hyundai was a successful one, claiming victory at his home event, Rally Estonia, as well as picking up podiums at three other events on the condensed 2020 calendar. Ott went on to take four more podiums in 2021, including victory at Arctic Rally Finland.

Martin
Career.
Making his rally debut as a co-driver in 2003, Martin gained plenty of experience at motorsport events in his home country. He made his WRC debut in 2010 with Karl Kruuda at Rally Jordan, and the following year led to him winning two rounds of WRC 2 to finish in fifth.
He began working with Ott Tänak in 2016, winning his first-ever WRC event in Rally Italia Sardegna in 2017. Since 2018, the crew have become regular victory challengers, taking multiple wins and securing their place at WRC’s top table. A triumphant season in 2019 saw them take the drivers’ and co-drivers’ titles.
The highlight of Martin’s debut season with Hyundai was certainly his and Ott’s first win for the team at their home event, Rally Estonia.
